about

"EPILOGUE OF A DOOMED WORLD" is my biggest project yet. It took me many months of work to not only record these songs but to create the atmosphere I wanted as well. Not wanting to rush this like I did with some previous works, I gave myself up until the end of the year, to make it exactly the way I wanted it to be. Many many tracks were made then ditched because they wouldn't fit the theme. I have a bunch of these tracks and they will definitely be released during 2022 as an EP (maybe???) or a longer album if I feel like it.

Mécanique : 4:28
Musings on The Last Day : 14:34
The Shifting : 6:23
Epilogue : 13:35

Track 1 "Mécanique" is a soft and repeating ambient track that I wanted to be calming but suspenseful at the same time, like a prologue for what's to come.

Track 2 "Musings on The Last Day" was recorded as one take, an improvisation I made one morning and changed nothing from the original input. A cinematic work with only pianos and strings that tries to encapsulate all the aspects of the apocalypse to come in one longer track.

Track 3 "The Shifting" is the calm bridge that connects the two surrounding bigger tracks. This one is actually heavily-distorted guitar sounds that I recorded and added some mouth noises on top of it.

Track 4 "Epilogue" is what I would consider my greatest musical work so far. It is also a very long improvisation that I recorded in one long, very long evening. This powerful electronic track constantly evolves, shifting tones, instruments, melodies and atmospheres. In short, this is my Epilogue.

This album is of course on all platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music... you name it) and is on YouTube and here for free listening, but if you wish to buy it (first of all, thank you so much) please do so here on Bandcamp, it facilitates many things for me, as it takes a while for my publisher to updates sales, when Bandcamp paypals me the sales in under a day. To make it clear, I work and I do not depend on music to live, but your support will be greatly appreciated and will for sure make my day as well !

Much love,

- Atomiste
