"Final Visions" is the result of three whole months of recording, tampering and mastering lengthy electronic improvisations. Using some experimental techniques to take full advantage of delay, i then managed to sync every instrument on different rythms, which gave these slowly evolving electronic landscapes. If the structure is repetitive, not one second of any track is exactly the same as the previous one. Originally the album was over 7 hours long, but I stripped it down to "only" 5 hours, which is for me the bare minimum because I can't see myself ditching any more tracks at this point, they all have their place in this gargantuan project.

This album is divided in two parts of roughly equal lengths. The first part "Visions" is anchored in Ambient Techno influences and New Age type of sounds. The second part "The Cycle" is centered around exploring how can Drone be pushed to its absolute limits whilst still keeping this signature sound structure from the first part.

I have no idea if I'll ever make a project of this magnitude ever again, the circumstances of its creation were quite special and will probably be hard to genuinely replicate. I also fully realize an album of this length will be innacessible to many listeners out there, and if at some point in my musical career it would've prevented me from publishing such a project in its full form, I now came to terms with the fact that i'm making music for me, not for others. If people like it, good, if not, well it's still out there no matter what. It's unique, it's mine and I'm proud of it.

The first half of 2023 was very busy, release-wise. At some point I was working on 4 projects at the same time, but now (aside from remasters which should be coming soon-ish) I'm done with everything I had started in the past 6 months. This album drained me and I have no idea where the next project will take me, or if there'll be any future project released under the "Atomiste" name.

How fitting it would be for my last album to be called "Final Visions"...
