about

"The Salvation Sessions" is a continuation in-spirit of "The Sacrifice Sessions" released earlier this year, however in pratice it is quite different. The central instrument for this album is the pipe organ, saxophone appears in two of the six tracks and harpsichord in only one track. I tried to represent a much more "churchful" sound with The Salvation Sessions and it is way less abstract and experimental than its predecessor. I kept the loop elements, opting for a more tape-esque delay with artificial degradation, achieving this ever-evolving and captivating organ-led composition.

As for the genre, it is definitely anchored in minimalism, since I used multiple methods commonly found in the sphere of influence of the genre. One could qualify the album with the genre of Holy Minimialism, it deifnitely was created with this genre in mind, tho most tracks are probably too intense for the calmer sounds of Holy Minimalism. I still consider it to evolve very close to this genre as all the other aesthetics check out.

Ideally I would like a third album in this vein, to finish the "Sessions" trilogy. Not any leads as to how it will sound like so far but hey, I have so many side projects that are completely finished but not published that I have no doubt I will be able to figure this out : 2023 has been crazy in terms of inspiration and I hope it will continue to deviler. :)

God Bless.
